Do I need an appointment to have my prescription refilled?

Yes. Ongoing care requires routine follow-up appointments to have prescriptions refilled. This helps ensure that your provider keeps your overall well-being as the top priority.

I am a patient seeking virtual services only. Can I be prescribed medication to treat insomnia?

If the medication is a controlled substance (sedative-hypnotics) such as Ambien or Lunesta, our prescribing providers require patients to be seen in person for their first appointment and then may be seen virtually for follow-up appointments. For ongoing treatment where controlled substances are prescribed, we require at least one in-person appointment annually.

I am a patient seeking virtual services only. Can I be prescribed medication to treat severe anxiety and/or panic attacks?

If the medication is a controlled substance (benzodiazepine) such as Xanax or Klonopin, our prescribing providers require patients to be seen in person for their first appointment and then may be seen virtually for follow-up appointments. For ongoing treatment where controlled substances are prescribed, we require at least one in-person appointment annually.

I am a patient seeking virtual services only. Can I be prescribed medication to treat ADHD?

If the medication is a controlled substance (stimulant) such as Adderall or Vyvanse, our prescribing providers require patients to be seen in person for their first appointment and then may be seen virtually for follow-up appointments. For ongoing treatment where controlled substances are prescribed, we require at least one in-person appointment annually.

Do you screen for autism?

Unfortunately, no. We refer anyone requesting a screening for Autism Spectrum Disorder for a full psychological evaluation to a licensed psychologist.

Do I have to take the mental health assessment prior to being seen by a provider?

We understand that it can be difficult to put into words exactly how people are feeling. At Trifecta Health, we not only believe that performing a baseline mental health assessment upfront is best practice, but also that it is best for the patient and their journey. If you haven’t had a mental health screening or psychological evaluation within the last twelve months, we strongly recommend coming in for an assessment before starting treatment.

Can I have my child screened for ADHD?

If your child is age six or older, we can perform an ADHD assessment. This includes observations from the parents, an educator of your choice, and self-observation if the child is age fourteen or older.

What is a mental health assessment?

Trifecta Health offers mental health assessments to establish a baseline mental health status, giving your provider the most accurate view of the symptoms you are experiencing. This expedites the healing journey by assessing severity up front and establishing appropriate treatment plans from the get-go.

Are mental health assessments covered by my insurance?

If your insurance plan has mental health benefits, we can file a claim for a mental health assessment. For the best and most accurate information about how much a mental health assessment will cost, contact your insurance company directly. Insurance contact information is usually found on the back of your insurance card.

Good Faith Estimate

We are required by law to provide a Good Faith Estimate to any self-pay clients seeking counseling or medication management services. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimate of the total amount you may pay over a 12-month period. Your actual total amount may be higher or lower than what appears on the estimate.
