Thank you for considering me for your counseling and mentoring needs. I am a licensed clinical social worker and currently work at UF Health Trauma Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. I am a Florida native and have lived in Jacksonville, FL, for the last ten years. My interest in Mental Health and passion for assisting others stems from ten years of experience in Social Work and Mental Health Services. I have worked with geriatric adults, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and at-risk youth.
While working with these vast populations, I have learned my calling is assisting at-risk youth, their transition into adulthood, and overcoming their substance use disorders. My current role entails working with individuals who range in age from 18 to 100 who have suffered physical trauma, which subsequently develops into emotional trauma. I have worked with individuals and with groups as large as twenty participants. I am honored and willing to work with any individual who is seeking services. As someone who is in recovery, I understand the importance of creating a non-judgmental atmosphere and the ability of a counselor to relate to their patients and patients’ families.
As your counselor, I am honored to walk beside you on your journey to recovery and life fulfillment. I have Weekend office hours and after-school/evening appointment times available to help accommodate busy work/life schedules. I look forward to working with you and/or your youth!
